Respect yourself and others and show good sportsmanship, we're all here to have a good time.

Respect your equipment and the facility, we all like nice things lets keep it that way.

Violence, rudeness, unsafe behavior etc.. will not be condoned.

Breaking these or facility rules will result in you being asked to leave and possible ejection from the league with no refund.
Attendance
-
A season consists of 8 weeks, 7 weeks of league games and the 8th week being the playoffs.

League members are required to show up to league nights to play in the league. If you are unable to show up for league night you will be able to make up that game later in the week. League games can be made up by calling in a reservation to come into the shop and make up the game or walk in on Friday or Saturday.

League games must be made up before week 8 of the season.

No more than 2 missed games may be made up. If you are absent 3 weeks in a row you will be taken out of the league with no refund.
Playoff Attendance

Those in the playoffs must attend the playoff game night. This match cannot be made up.

Players will have a 10 minute grace period to be at their lane when their match starts. If a player is a not ready to play within the grace period they will receive 0 points for that game.

If a player receives 3 (full match) zeroes during the playoffs they will be taken out of the playoffs all together.
Axes Allowed

Axe dimensions allowed will comply with WATL (World Axe Throwing League) specifications.

The maximum specifications for all hatchets are:

Weight – 3lbs/1.36kg total
-
Length – 19in/48.26cm Minimum 12in (as measured from the top of the eye)
-
Bit – 4in/10.16cm (as measured toe to heel in a straight line)

House axes will be supplied, however within specifications you may bring your own.

Axes may only have one sharp bit. No sharpened bits, spikes, or blades are allowed on the poll of the axe.
Throwing
League regulation throws consist of three different styles:

Two hands, overhead
-
One hand, overhead
-
One hand, underhand
-
No other style of throwing is permitted
Hatchet League Format
-
A season consists of 8 weeks, 7 weeks of league games and the 8th week being the playoffs.

Matches will be held once a week on league night. Additional nights will be added based on the amount of participants.
Match System
-
League night will consist of 4 matches against random opponents
-
After each match players will rotate to make sure everyone has the same conditions for throwing
-
Each match will consist of 10 throws consistent with house game rules.
-
5 practice throws will be allowed before a match, the 10 throws of the match will be done consecutively with no practice between.

Game rules are posted in each lane.
-
Judges are the final arbiter of rules and scoring calls.
-
Match points and win/loss will be recorded and posted to the leader board.
Play offs
-
On the 8th week the Top 16 players will have a tournament to decide the champion of that season.

Tournament will be held on League night unless otherwise announced in advance.

Tournament will be double elimination with an upper and lower bracket.

Winner or the upper and lower bracket will be the final match
-
Final match will be a 2 out of 3 match to make sure the winner of the upper bracket has the same double elimination chance
Matches
-
Players are allowed 5 throws for practice before the match begins. No practice throws during the match.

Each match will be 10 consecutive throws.

A player needs to score a higher score than their opponent to win the match
-
In the event of a tie, players will go into sudden death, one throw highest score wins. This will continue until there is a higher scored thrown.

No more than two times per match a person can call the Kill Shot. The kill shot will not be active unless called before the throw and the judge is aware of the call.
Scoring

If the blade is cutting a line, the player will receive the lower score that is either side of that line.

If a player steps past the foul line (into the white carpet) they will receive a zero for that throw.

If the axe falls out of the target before it is retrieved, the score will be a zero.

If the axe is removed before a judge is able to make a call on the score, the score will be zero
-
Players are not allowed to touch an opponents axe while it is in the target without their opponents express consent before hand.

If two players can not agree on what score the throw should be, a judge will make the final decision.
